Kiosks

Kiosks

Kiosks are small, temporary booths placed in areas with high foot traffic, close to bus stations, schools and universities where owners cannot afford to buy or rent a shop. They are used to sell a variety of products, more common is FMCG  and cigarettes

Procedures of Submission:

1. The candidate is to submit a valid kiosk license (widows—divorcees—handicapped—elderly).

2. Al Orman then sends its research representatives to double check and ensure that the case is eligible and has submitted all the papers.

3. A copy is submitted to the Association’s Auditing Department who makes sure of the eligibility of these cases.

4. Kiosks are submitted to the deserving case.

5. Al Orman Association is in charge of applying for an electricity meter and paying its expenses up to 4,500 EGP.

6. As soon as electricity is in service, the deep freezer with the value of 3.900 EGP is delivered as well as merchandise with the value of 5000 EGP.

7. A contract is then signed. Installments are divided upon 36 months with a monthly fee of  140 EGP. Those who pay their installments on time and show seriousness in running their projects, are exempted from the payment of the last 12 installments.

8. Periodical follow-up by the Association for a period of 6 years is done to ensure that the kiosk owner is able to manage the business.

6,710 kiosks have been delivered since the year 2000.
