Launching the Future Project: Building the Future for Yemeni Youth in Aden Governorate

In partnership with Alwaleed Philanthropies International, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud, and the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, the Education for Employment Foundation (EFE) in Aden Governorate launched today, the Future Project: Building the Future for Yemeni Youth, By launching the first training program to prepare 100 young men and women as a first stage out of 660 to prepare them for the labor market and empower them economically in two main components during the years 2021 AD and 2022 AD. The “Future: Building the Future for Yemeni Youth” project aims to improve the lives of more than 660 Yemeni youth and their families through Training them to create job opportunities for them in the various districts of Aden and the surrounding governorates in coordination with the Yemeni government and local authorities, in order to achieve a living and economic balance by attracting these young people, and rehabilitating their abilities by providing program services to them, to train them on the best professional practices in a way that raises the efficiency of various sectors in Yemen . The first component targets 55 young men and women with the aim of providing the participants with the personal and practical skills that make them the ideal choice for employers to fill the job vacancies that the project sought to secure in the phase of assessing the labor market’s needs for skilled workers. The second component also targets 45 young men and women who have dropped out of education by providing them with professional and entrepreneurial skills that are commensurate with their personal and behavioral tendencies and abilities, providing them with professional portfolios, supporting them in building companies with members of the community around them for daily wage work and helping them to adopt their own income-generating projects.

The future project is part of a development agreement signed by the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen and Al-Waleed Humanitarian Foundation on January 12, 2021 AD with Education for Employment, with the aim of implementing the project (The Future: Building the Future for Yemeni Youth).

It is worth noting that the SDRPY has presented more than 204 development projects and initiatives that it implemented in various Yemeni governorates to serve the Yemeni people in 7 basic sectors, namely: education, health, water, transportation, agriculture and fisheries, and capacity building of government institutions in addition to programs developmental. Over 4 decades, Alwaleed Philanthropies International has supported thousands of projects, spent more than 16.5 billion Saudis, and implemented thousands of projects in more than 189 countries around the world, led by 10 Saudi female employees; Bringing the number of beneficiaries to more than 1 billion regardless of gender, race or religion. The Foundation collaborates with a range of charitable, governmental, and educational institutions to combat poverty, empower women and youth, develop local communities, provide disaster relief, and create cultural understanding through education.
