It is mentioned in the hadith of Abu Hurira, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “When a person dies, his deeds are cut off except for three: Continuing charity, knowledge that others benefited from, and a righteous son who supplicates for him.”
The ongoing charity program from the Egyptian Food Bank employs donations and directs them to invest in assets that help to continue supporting the eligible needy beneficiaries.
- Child Malnutrition Protection Unit Share : the cost of establishing it ranges from 600,000 to 1 million EGP, according to the needs of the community.
- It is a central kitchen in poor villages, through which we provide schools and nearby nurseries with hot, healthy and safe meals that help protect children of eligible needy families from the danger of malnutrition. The kitchen depends on appointing the mothers of the children who are entitled to a monthly salary to cook the meals in order to support them financially and help them in providing a decent work opportunity that guarantees them a monthly amount of money, ensuring the quality and safety of the food provided and feeding children. The kitchen prepares hot meals for the beneficiaries during times of need, such as the holy month of Ramadan, winter, etc. The construction of the kitchen includes the following: cooking machines and equipment – building infrastructure – food storage units (before cooking)
– Mobile Food Aid Unit Share: the cost of establishing it ranges from 1 million to 1.3 million EGP, according to the needs of the community.
The unit is represented in a mobile equipped kitchen that aids the impacted places to provide food support immediately upon the occurrence of any emergency conditions or crises that require rapid intervention in order to alleviate the affected people in all governorates of Egypt. It also works to serve temporary needs such as the families of hospital residents from outside the governorates or homeless children. The unit cost includes the following: the car – licenses – cooking machines and equipment – food storage and cooling units (before cooking)
