“Build Tomorrow” Program for Feeding children in nurseries and schools
What are the problems faced by the child from malnutrition?
Develop many diseases such as wasting, anemia, and others are cause by malnutrition

Weak physical structure and inability to engage in physical activities
Summary about the program:
Nursery and primary school students in poor families are considered the most vulnerable to malnutrition problems due to lack of resources and poor economic conditions. And since the role of nutrition during this stage is very important; In it, the body is built and adapted to the surrounding situation, which negatively or positively affects the health status of the child in terms of obtaining his nutritional needs.
Therefore, the Egyptian Food Bank started since 2009 to fight malnutrition for children through primary schools by providing a healthy meal daily for the children, and this extended to nursery children in 2021.
“Build tomorrow program” for feeding the children of nurseries and schools:
– Providing a daily hot meal for children in nurseries and schools.
– The meal contains essential nutrients to combat malnutrition and support the health of the student to advance his mental and physical abilities
– The meal is provided hot through the school kitchens of the Egyptian Food Bank
– Educating parents and students about the importance of proper healthy food and its impact on their growth and concentration
– The quality of the meals provided to students is fully supervised before they are served
– Some of the students’ mothers are trained and qualified and assigned to the school kitchen with a monthly salary to support them financially
Donation categories for the program:
Nurseries children: from the age of 2 to 6
School children: from 6 to 12
Student donation categories:
Daily hot meal for the student: 25 EGP
Daily hot meal for a student for a month: 550 EGP
One semester per month 27500.LE
Targeted students’ number to reach this year:
School children: 35,000 students are targeted in 10 governorates in 43 schools.
Nursery children: a target of 5,160 children in 7 governorates of Cairo – Fayoum – Beni Suef – North Sinai – Sharqia – Assiut – Sohag

1- Bachamel Potatoes + salad + fruit + a cup of milk
2- Rice + vegetables (peas) + beet salad + one fruit + a glass of milk
3- Chicken shawarma + rice + chickpea salad + fruit + a glass of milk
4- Panne chicken + sauteed vegetables with cheddar salad + fruit + a cup of milk
5- Beef burger + turmeric rice + vegetables (peas) + fruit + a glass of milk
